And where the youth now take part in the struggle of the people?
The role of youth, can not be denied in the history of the struggle of this nation so great. Youth are categorized is still productive age and have the physical capability that is strong enough and aggressive in moving. In general understanding is limited to youth aged 40 years. But in everything, in fact no single group could move let alone his own age group let alone make a fundamental change in people's lives.
Historically, a combination of experience and strength that are still earning a great power to make changes. This can we look in the history of the Youth Pledge of 1928, Independence Day 1945, Events Malari and Reform 1998. No young people are moving yourself, there is always a close correlation or relationship between an experienced leader (old age) with young people.
In the period of political turmoil and great moments that drive the youth to take his role and become a leader in the movement. But the process was the appearance of a peak, because there are aspects of the previous process that is doing community organizing. Organizing is to live together, learn together and fight together what the needs of people where they live. That the ends are moving at the highest demands in the realm of power politics. Period can be studied in the literature, there are no young man could be a character and moves the masses without seriousness, diligence and continuity in the group of people so well known and widely supported.
In current practice, especially pascareformasi (also occurs in every period of the momentum of the seizure of power) is more dominant youth go to power through the power of intellectual as well as formal political parties. These conditions keep what was done in the circumference of the power of the perceived general condition of the people and youth who have entered the ring of power has no strong political bargaining position.
As we know, that the formal processes of democracy through elections that can raise a lot of youth into the ring of power is not purely a process of organizing the awareness and active involvement of the masses. But more and more young men who have money and close to the power to be used as a way to the ring of power.
Problem of people every day are the result of greed of power devoted to international capitalism. Thus the policy of law, political and economic role of the state of removing the people's interests. With this policy is very clear how the people in the heavy pressure. When we aggregated, then there are many youth are involved in power and indifferent to the condition of the people.
People increasingly depressed, on the one hand pressed national policy, on the other side to survive the economic life should be done. On the other hand, knowledge of legal policy as well as information from the situation in general very little or almost nothing.
In such situations, the resistance of such conditions is bound to happen. The problem that arises is the lack of popular resistance directed and local in character. This is where the actual role of the youth to be present and functioning.
Young men should be in the midst of the people who need a supply of knowledge so that it can direct the struggle with the appropriate and useful. In this context, long-term struggle and become a place of education for the people to get out of the difficulty occurs.
